Argentinean native La Yegros combines the Chamamé of her native Buenos Aires with cumbia, electronica and world pop textures. Shout to Waxploitation for the heads up. More info on her debut album, Viene de Mi, here. “Trocitos de Madera,” is the second single from the album:
Is New York facing an identity crisis? While other emcees are quick to point out their views on the NY scene and it’s cooled off status, Mic Handz and Jaz-O come bearing hope and are keen on bringing the heat back to the coast that birthed the genre. “Bright Lights,” with it’s inescapable head nodding, frantic piano direction and rugged rhymes from the aforementioned emcees, is the anthem for those who live and die for their home. From the Donald Robinson Cole directed video, which harnesses a nice contrast from light and dark to the almost mentor/mentee relationship between the legendary Jaz and the always dope Mic Handz, the song is bound to ignite the streets. “Bright Lights” will be featured on T.H.E.M. Recordings forthcoming compilaiton album Killing The Game, which is set to be released in the beginning of April. Hit the jump for the visuals and free .mp3 download!
Earlier this week, Exile & Johaz, released their “The Warning Tape” as a free download which serves as a precursor to their upcoming official retail album “E&J,” which will be released on February 4th via Dirty Science / Fat Beats. “The Warning Tape” features songs that did not make the upcoming “E&J” album and today enjoy the official music video for the song “Robo Cop,” which is a bonus track featured on “The Warning Tape.” “Robo Cop” was directed by DAME MSK.

Bass music giant Borgore and hip-hop heavyweight Waka Flocka Flame are captured in an all out confession on Reddit Ask Me Anything–presented in a very laid-back setting. Borgore and Waka Flocka Flame speak on bets placed with label boss, Steve Aoki and also discuss Justin Bieber’s involvement with their collabo track, “Wild Out” on Borgre’s Wild Out EP. The featured lead single on Dim Mak Records meshes bass-heavy antics and hip-hop crossover appeal that can be described as a straight BANGER–guaranteed to create havoc at any party it’s played.
Borgore is releasing the Wild Out (Remixes) EP on January 28th on Dim Mak Records featuring remixes from Ookay, Riggi & Piros, Grandtheft x Torro Torro, MUST DIE!, and Evan Gartner. The Wild Out EP from Borgore is available now.
INPUT will be treated with some next-level bass-infusions courtesy of the combined efforts of Canadian producers Adam Marshall and Christian Andersen, also known as Graze. The duo have steadily impressed critics, listeners and club-patrons alike with their debut LP on Marshall’s New Kanada imprint, as well as their evocative live sets. By evoking a live show that’s equal parts engaging, intriguing and scintillating, Graze has secured its spot as one of the newest must-see acts in the past year. So needless to say, we’re excited to see them sharing the bill at Output with the likes of UK outfit Dark Sky (50WEAPONS), Heathered Pearls (Ghostly) and Detroit Swindle (Heist Recordings) tomorrow night. Check out a video preview, as well as the flyer and ticket link, post-jump.
