As bicycling goes mainstream in NYC, the transition is bound to have some clashes. I see the Critical Mass peeps as kind of serving the same function as the fire department, when they drive fire trucks though the city with their sirens on…Even though there isn’t actually an emergency, it’s a useful drill to keep motorists and pedestrians mindful of their presence, so motorists and pedestrians can improve their reaction time when there is a crisis — it simply keeps us aware of the fact that the road is being shared with unique vehicles which we have to keep our eyes open for.
Here’s 10 minutes of wild camera, creamy guitar solos and as always, Camp Bisco’s very up-for-it massive. Every year laws of time and space seem to manage to keep us from making all but the last night of Camp Bisco and yet, despite our late arrival, we’re always rewarded with a surprise, killer performance from somebody on the final night.
