Andy “Wake Self” Martinez has played an integral role in Albuquerque’s Hip-Hop scene since the early 2000s. For the past decade, he has worked tirelessly to establish himself among Hip-Hop’s elite. For his most recent endeavor, Wake Self is pleased to unveil the latest visuals from his most recent solo effort, The Healing Process. Titled “At the Speed of Bike,” the song takes the listener on a journey through Self’s thought process while executing a solid track built on DJ Young Native’s cuts and PH8’s production. Insightful and original, Wake speaks truth and translates a message of positivity. The video, produced by Concept Flux Media, balances Wake’s youthful nature with the seriousness of what he’s trying to get across. The Healing Process became available on April 25 via Bandcamp and is packed with endless introspective, intelligent lyrics, coupled with Wake’s impeccably smooth delivery.
