We were busy on Day 9 building this giant Innerpartysystem American Trash flag out of trash collected on our trip and around the Denver area. Originally it was going to be much smaller but ended up 8ft by 12ft and heavy as hell. In the dark of the night we dropped this off at the corner of 16th St and Stout St where it now resides as a piece of installation art. If you’re in the Denver area, go check it out before the city dismantles it.
Travel from Denver, through Colorado and Utah…. where are we going?
Been working out of the Rocking Horse office all day today, which was a much needed hub for us here in Denver. And outside, we’ve been building this American Trash for Innerpartysystem:

About to load it in the trailer and take it downtown, somewhere in/on the 16th St Mall.
We were hoping to be able to live blog every day, a couple of times a day, and post little teaser videos every day or so along the way as well. Then, after Austin, the reality set in – we’re absolutely slammed with work, the RV is actually really difficult to work in, our Sprint 3G/4G MiFi internet is spotty, and the drives are LONG on this one. Longer than we had anticipated. And its tough to work in the moving RV when your computer is literally bouncing off your lap.
So, the trip’s name has been fitting to say the least. Lots of different blacktops, lots of gas stations and truck stops. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve been having a blast exploring the country and …
Pulled into Austin on Day 3 to hang with Billy Bishop and Darren from Obsolete Industries and get some work done. Then hooked up with Nixon for their ACL aftershow party with Sonic Youth at Mellow Johnny’s and La Zona Rosa, where the poster we designed for the event was being live screen-printed by Obsolete.
Good times all the way around and we got a lot of good hang time with the Silva Artist Management crew and a bunch of great locals too. Plus some amazing Eastside Austin crackheads.
Thanks for all the hospitality Austin!! We love you!
Pit stop in Two Guns, AZ.

Today was pretty lax. Internet was out most of the day and we had a nice 6 hour drive that took 8 hours, on the back of a big 12 hour drive from day 2. So, this one was really all about chilling out in the RV and getting some rest. Arrived at Obsolete Industries in Austin around 5pm, booked it straight to Sam’s BBQ, then a few hours of work on Billy’s high-speed wireless before relaxing in the yard for a bit and getting some showers in.
Now, with everyone refreshed, it’s off to The Black Lips at Emo’s and a little Friday night fun on 6th St.
