Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse Celebrate Shady Records in New York Show

In New York with nothing to do today? Shady Records is throwing themselves a party at the BRISK Bodega pop-up shop, featuring the label’s memorabilia and a special show with Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse later tonight. “The exhibit is a one-day-only experience celebrating Shady’s history and evolution to Shady 2.0,” the label said in a release. “Featuring exclusive artwork by Tristan Eaton and ARTEKNYC, the Brisk Bodega will give you up close and personal access to some extremely rare and never-before-seen gems from the Shady Records museum of memorabilia, including the puppet and set from Eminem’s Brisk “Claymation 2.0″ Super Bowl commercial earlier this year.”

From now until 5 pm, the pop-up shop, located at 159 Bleecker St., will feature memorabilia from 8 Mile, plaques from classic albums …

URB spent another wonderful weekend in the amazing city of Barcelona for the annual Sonar Electronic Music Festival. And like year’s past, the spot on music programming combined with the wonderful Spanish city and always up-for-it European crowd to make Sonar a must-experience destination for music heads.

The fellas at Yours Truly did a video piece on Main Attrackionz and I’m glad to see someone else taking notice of their various talents. Yours Truly has had a great history of exposing undeveloped artists who eventually blow up to do big things, including folks like Big K.R.I.T., Freddie Gibbs, Fashawn, Yelawolf, and others, so if their track record continues, the two fellas at Main Attrakionz will have a very promising future. These guys are completely under the radar. I did a search on these guys, and not many folks have covered them yet. Hope you get a chance to check out the video produced …
