Sugar & Gold – “Bodyaches” (Video)

Are you ready to move? San Francisco’s sweathouse dance machine Sugar & Gold has been hard at work on a brand new EP titled Bodyaches, and it will be available on March 8th. The forthcoming compilation will be packaged with two new songs as well as remixes of five tracks from their previously released Get Wet! LP (produced by Maus Haus, Yip Deceiver and more). In preparation for its drop, they’re unveiling the first video.

Kelis – “Acapella” (Video)

“Before you, my whole life was acapella / Now our symphony’s the only song to sing.” I read an interview with Kelis on VIBE.com a minute ago where she spoke about this song, her new album, and where she currently was in life. Kelis’ upcoming album, due out this June, is set to be an uptempo compilation of pulsating grooves and eccentric positive vibes – not quite what you’d expect after her divorce from Nas, right? But Kelis said to VIBE some months back:

“I think [fans are] expecting an angry record. And I’m not angry. I’m actually curious to see how this goes over. …

The first release on DFA and still its biggest hit. Frontman Luke Jenner later reported to URB that Murphy was inspired to start DFA after reading an article in a UK paper about the resurgence of minimal disco like ESG and A Certain Ratio.

“Unreleased Demo”
At one point, even the pop princes wanted more cowbell. The track was never released, officially, but that’s just as well since there’s no way Brit-Brit would have made a more surreal video than this black drag queen calling herself Britney Houston. Wow.
