Wolf & Club

Science And Sorcery

Released by Last Gang Records

Their hearty sound( made by possible by their utilization of two drummers) can be heard best on the thumping album opener "Seven Sevens" where lead vocalist Joel Byrne delivers seemingly cryptic lyrics in a funky Prince-like falsetto. Also noteworthy is the heavily rock influenced "What Are They Running From"--an up-tempo track with a most savory bass-line and lengthy percussive breakdown. Other standout tracks include "Master"--a post-punk influenced piece, as ...

Quick Talk With BLU

Catching Up With Blu

Perhaps best remembered for his influential 2007 release Below The Heavens, Blu is arguably one of the most talented emcees of our time. His multi-regionally influenced delivery, coupled with the ability to tell succinct, cohesive, and vividly detailed stories, have had the likes of high-ranking musical contemporaries Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, and The Roots singing his praises.
