Underworld vs. The Misterons
Athens
If you are scratching your head wondering exactly who Darren Emerson is let me clarify. Darren was the third member of Underworld from roughly 1993 until 2000 when he decided to persue his DJing career of which he has done quite well with. Darren helped propel Underworld into the spotlight with the 1996 smash hit “Born Slippy” which most people know from the movie Trainspotting. Darren went on to fill dancefloors around the globe, start a record label and drop a few choice mixes via the Global Underground compilation series. This is a top notch interview that gives you a bit of insight on where he has been and what is up next for this prodigy of european electronic music. You can find it HERE.
“It’s brains you want boys… none of that software nonsense.”
An absolutely hillarious look into the remix methods of one of the world’s foremost electronic acts.
There’s no better place to stay up-to-date with Fedde le Grand than his brand spankin’ new channel on YouTube. Apparently, he’s been recording HD video footage the world over. If you subscibe to the channel, which I did, you get a first listen to new tracks and you have the whole FLG world (audio and video) at your fingertips in one spot. [Mix Mag]
