Uffie – “Difficult” (Video)

Ms. Anna – Uffie – Hartley’s new video for single, “Difficult” has just hit the interweb! The American born, Tokyo raised, Paris living firecracker of a popstar is on quite the roll this year with 2010 album release, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans on Ed Bangers records. Recent hits have included the bouncin’ “MC’s Can Kiss,” produced by Mr. Oizo, another Ed Banger resident, and “ADD SUV” whose music video features a not so shabby lip smack-covered convertible driven by equally not so shabby Pharrell Williams.

This was a night of leather jackets and mustaches, feminists (of both sexes) and hip hop kids. There was celebrity-spotting in the house, Steve Aoki himself and and Apl.de.ap with an entourage. Them Jeans warmed up the hipster crowd with Kid Cudi tracks that everybody sang along to.

Uffie finally hit the stage at 12:30, and she had a new DJ backing her. Uffie looked part Euro and part American Apparel, which makes sense being Miami-born, Hong Kong-raised and Paris-based. She invited the crowd to storm the stage, and her almost overly enthusiastic fans did not hesitate. Maybe this was a move to hide the lack of performance, to cover it up with fan frenzy on stage. …MORE
