URB: What does U-N-I stand for and how did you come up with the name?
YO!: The name “U-N-I” came from [The Roots'] Illadelph Halflife album. We use it as a first person statement, “You” as in Thurz & “I” as in myself.
Thurz: The song is “UNIverse at War” featuring Common. We also see our name as an ideology of being boundless and not boxed into one sound.
