Technics Rumor Seems Likely Untrue

It now seems as though the widely circulated rumors about the Technic’s turntable demise is most likely untrue. However, there is yet to be any communication from the company except for this alleged e-mail Panasonic Australia. The fact that no wider press release has been issued is fairly surprising, but maybe not considering that in my ten years of covering turntable-based music I’ve never had any direct interaction with the company. They simply keep quiet and build the best turntables ever assembled. Here’s hoping that policy continues for many years to come.
