We’ve seen lots of folks dressing up as Daft Punk in the past few years. But this one is really the masterpiece of homemade robot helmets. As for the real Thomas and Guy-Man? They’re putting the finishing touches on the score for TRON:Legacy according to the film’s director at Comic-Con.

Here’s the latest trailer from the ridiculously anticipated TRON Legacy coming out this December. In it, we get a little taste of the plot, a good look at Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges in the new TRON suits, and a little more badass light cycle action. Of course, we’re paying extra close attention because every bit of sound could be attributed as new Daft Punk music. So what do we hear on the latest trailer? Nothing so Daft Punkish, but more typical theater shaking score-type backing. But check the bit right when the title appears. That’s some Richard Devine-esque plug-in destruction.

The last track alleged to be from the upcoming Tron soundtrack was ruled a phony, so I don’t have much faith in this track floating around the internet. It’s certainly a good–heck!–a great track! However, when it comes to this French duo, I take their music too seriously to just jump on any bandwagon and they are notorious for keeping things under-wraps. And if this is real, then I’m a little bummed that it was leaked just like any other track without the fanfare that the geek squad would love to shower on it via record stores and theaters. I would imagine there would be something special for something so long in the works; so woe to he that leaked it if this is the real thing. I hate phonies, so someone please prove to me this is legit. …

Daft Punk’s publicist has confirmed that this track is a phony.
We’re always skeptical of leaks coming from the notoriously tight-lipped Daft Punk camp. But french fan site Daft World has posted this clip of allegedly leaked music from the upcoming Tron Legacy soundtrack. Honestly, I’m doubting it’s legitimacy, but why be the only buzzkill on the web. What do you think?
