The XX – “Shelter” (Tiga Remix) (MP3)

Few things have saturated the blogosphere as much as The XX remixes over the last few months. But when Canadian techno-deity Tiga lays his remixing paws on something, you best give it a listen. The result is highly subdued (we kept waiting for his trademark “1-2-3-4″ that never came), although the remixers explanation of the track almost as poetic as the original material.

“There’s just something special about making out in London, your mouth bursting with toffee and emotion, that ugly ferris wheel thing looming in the distance…This remix is a love letter to British Romance, from the heart of a Canadian Revolutionary.”
