Last week’s edition of Friday Fresh was postponed because of our Grammy coverage, which should be making its way to your eyes and ears shortly. It’s a good thing too because that gives us a chance to drop some Valentine’s Day heat on ya’ll.
This early edition of Friday Fresh comes to us courtesy of DJ Wonway Posibul. Wonway is one of the ‘Renaissance’ Men of the burgeoning music scene in the SF Bay Area. From being a radio host, producer/musician, and all around cool kid, Wonway really made waves on our radar out here with the release of Tree City Heights last year. The track, which was featured in an earlier URB article, also served as the soundtrack for the play that stood eponymous with its title. Moreover, the …
The votes have been tallied and once again URB readers have made their voices heard. And how did 2012 flesh out in terms of your favorite artists? A rock solid mix of all-time favorites, current buzz-makers and a few veteran acts climbing their way to the top once again. As you may remember House of Balloons was that kind mixtape that was perfect for scissoring and then a larger part of it talked about the hoes, friggin’ hoes! While I may not be completely caught up with this tape yet, it seems like even more scissoring music and then the first track still tackles those friggin’ hoes–hoes always be up in your face! Download the tape here, and I’ll stream the title track below.
