“That’s A Wrap!” For Kitsuné’s Triumphant North American Tour, See Pictures

Though it’s sometimes difficult to keep up with the uber-prolifict Kitsuné brand (in the last year alone the record-label-cum-fashion-design house has released a slew of mixes, full artist albums, remix singles, several apparel collaborations and we’ve not even mentioned their creative overtaking of the heritage brand Petit Bateau or upcoming presence at the Pitti Uomo fashion expo), the actualization of their various endeavors is always nothing short of spectacular.

None of Kitsuné’s high-wattage, bold creative energy was held back during the run of their North American “Autumn in America” tour. Having attended the L.A. date of the tour, we can tell you that the hands in the air, free spiritedness of the evening was symbolic of more than just the need to shake of the week’s stresses, it was also a real …

LA-Based Producer Goldroom DJ’s SF Tomorrow Night (Video)

Part of the last night of this fall’s Kitsuné Club Night “Autumn in America” tour The Twelves, who have been with the trek through the entire journey, Penguin Prison, who we profiled as part of our tour coverage, and our fellow Los Angeles resident Goldroom (no doubt named after one of our favorite local haunts) will take the stage tomorrow night at San Francisco venue Mezzanine.

Having raised himself on everything from early 90′s alt rock to the crooning of The Beach Boys, Goldroom’s various influences, including his penchant for this era’s onslaught of rave acts, can be felt on his 2011 Angeles EP as well as on his remixes for Citizens!, Niki & The Dove, and Gigamesh. However, we were especially touched by his glittering …

Maison Kitsuné Partners With Pernod Absinthe, Continues To Celebrate Autumn In America

As we’ve been mentioning over the past couple of weeks French multi-hyphenate brand Kitsuné has been traversing the country in support of its second “Club Night Tour” this year, this one entitled, “Autumn in America“. What we’ve not mentioned much of is the fact that 2012 also marks the tenth anniversary of the music-cum-fashion label’s existence and that to celebrate this milestone Kitsuné has put out a fourteenth edition of its celebrated compilation series, this one entitled Kitsuné Maison: The 10th Anniversary Edition or “The Pernod Absinthe Edition“. Why “The Pernod Absinthe Edition” you might ask, well, because the artwork design for this release is just another extension of the visual scheme Kitsuné adopted in order to produce a collaboration between themselves and the two-hundred …

The Twelves Talk Influencers and Influencing, Play Denver Tomorrow Night

As one of the forefront remixers for acts like M.I.A.Erlend Øye, and Cut Copy, The Twelves have proven more than just a novelty DJ act over their seven years as a duo. With influences on their remixes, and original compositions, coming from every which angle, they really do pull from a spectrum wide enough to include everyone from Daft Punk to Royksopp, the sound of these Brazillian boys is truly eclectic. Ahead of their Kitsuné Club Night “Autumn in America” tour stop in Denver, João and Luciano spoke to URB about the recent compilation they put together for the French label they’re touring in support of and how inspired they feel by the community of acts they exist within.

URB: Your Two Door Cinema Club remix is absolutely one of my most favorite I’ve …
