Double Trouble. Just as we settle in for the the remainder of this creepy non-winter, the Do Lab and its flagship festival Lightning in A Bottle wake us from our melancholic haze with an URB Exclusive documentary and a 24 hour discounted ticketing window.

Only when festival and attendee become one soupy love-heap can festival tickets go on sale in advance of line-up announcement. This is the case for the next 24 hrs. from 7am pst today (1/16/12) through tomorrow at 7am PST on Tuesday the 12th.

STREAM :: Lightning In Your Ear Compilation (MP3)

Those hyper-creative kids over at The Do Lab are throwing their annual Lightning In A Bottle festival this weekend in the remotes reaches of Orange County. To get you warmed up, they’ve released a digital compilation album, Lightning In Your Ear, featuring many of the acts from this year’s campout, including Pretty Lights, PANTyRAID annd Beats Antique.

Thievery Corporation, Pretty Lights To Headline Lightning In A Bottle

Last year, URB attended our first Lightning In A Bottle, the annual miniature Burning Man that decends on the outer hills of Orange County with a weekend’s worth of electronic music mayhem, dudes wearing furry chaps, and yoga-toned beauties blowing scented oil bubbles through the crowd. Promoters The Do Lab have given URB the exclusive peak at this year’s line-up, which includes headliners Thievery Corporation and Pretty Lights, along with with stars affilitaed with that scene, such as Beats Antique, PANTyRAID, and KRADDY, plus international heavy hitters Claude Von Stroke, Bonobo and Nick Warren.

Do Lab To Release ‘Lightning In Your Ear’ Artist Compilation (MP3)

We could have used this for the drive out to Burning Man, but LA’s fave art-music collective The Do Lab along with The Confluence’s new Post-Label, er, label, have assembled a charity compilation for their annual Lightning In A Bottle weekend camp out, featuring Glitch Mob, The Very Best, Beat Antique, Adam Freeland, Eliot Lipp and a dozen other Do Lab faves.

Here’s a track to start you off by MartyParty.
