Very happy to report that The Black Keys are ready to release their sixth proper album and the follow-up to damn-near-everyone’s beloved Attack and Release. Here is footage from a party hosted by DD172 at Under 100 of the Cool Kids, Curren$y and Jay Electronica rocking the mic. Supposedly The Black Keys and Mos Def were going to perform that night, but according to sources the party ended early because of noise complaints.
Who’d have suspected that the Black Keys-Dame Dash hip-hop project would become the buzzed about web meme for the end of 2009. We knew it’d be good, but not a day goes by without something new making the blog rounds. This latest video features Nicole (Nikki) Wray working out some melodies with Dan Auerbach.
This is Mos Def’s collaborative track off the highly talked about Dame Dash-helmed project pairing The Black Keys with some of the world’s top MC, titled BlakRoc. This track is called “On The Vista” and the download link is located after the break. BlakRoc album is dropping on November 27th.
