Detroit’s annual techno gathering, Movement, has announced the first wave of artists scheduled to play the 2013 edition over Memorial Day weekend. The line-up includes Detroit stars Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig and Derrick May & Kevin Saunderson, in what we assume to be a tag-team configuration.

Remember five years ago when Snoop Dogg dropped the ’80s-tinged classic “Sexual Seduction,” and Dam-Funk was all like, “What am I doing on MTV? Oh wait…” Turns out the love of keytars wasn’t just a passing phase for gangster rap’s friendliest pup. Amongst the many DJ mixes recently posted on Snoop’s Soundcloud page, Magnetic Magazine spotted this selection of excellent nu-disco and deep house tunes (called Euro Tekno by DJ Snoopadelic) by Tensnake, Prins Thomas, Lisa Shaw, Genius of Time and a lot more. The beatmatching is a little rough, which just leads us to believe that the hour-long set was mixd by Snoop himself, presumably whil wrapped in a haze of blunt smoke.
