@Koshadillz lands Superbowl commercial, release Wavves remix on The Jetlag Ep (MP3)

if you weren’t paying attention to the Grammy’s and still remembering the Superbowl, you might’ve seen some awesome commercials that overshadowed the fact that Bruno Mars got beat by Adele 7 times. Maybe you remember the Bud light Rescue dog #WEEGO ?
The funny tune in the background was from no one other than Kosha Dillz, who released the song “Cellular Phone” nearly 3 years prior for his Beverly Dillz LP produced by Belief.

M.I.A. Flips Off America During Superbowl Half-Time Show (Video)

A finger isn’t a nipple and M.I.A. certainly isn’t Janet Jackson, but that’s the main (non-)controversy coming out of last night’s Superbowl Halftime show. While performing with Madonna and Nicki Minaj, the UK singer made the artistic decision to give the camera (and about 100,000,000 people) the middle finger. Why? “Adrenalin” is being named as the culprit, according to M.I.A.’s camp.

New Orleans Drumming Circle: Long Live The People of NOLA! (Video)

By way of remembering what happened only five years ago in New Orleans — the American city with perhaps the greatest historical ties to Haiti — here’s footage…first, a look at a man on the street caught in the rain, in a random scene which serves as a macro-micro metaphor of sorts; an abandoned Pentecostal church where someone respectfully organized the pastor’s wall decorations, chalice, and bible school diploma (the freeze-frame is of the church’s destroyed altar, with light streaming through the hole in the roof); a drumming circle which reflects one of humanity’s most ancient gatherings and which makes eminently manifest that people will always rise again.  It is my hope that the Superdome — a place which has seen both the very meanest of times and a city’s collective, heartening joy — never be torn down, as the …
