[Wednesday, The F*ck?!?] WTF07 – Dirtyphonics – Irreverence (Review & Limited Album Stream) (MP3)

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means.  Welcome back to WTF, the column dedicated to getting those artists and releases that may have flown under your radar earlier this week.

The Dirtyphonics broke out onto the EDM scene in 2008, lending their stylings and skill the varying schemes of bass music to artists like Marilyn Manson, Nero, Skrillex, and Benny Benassi.  After signing with Dim Mak in 2012, they broke out of the label’s gates with a vengeance, torching listeners eardrums with their brand of bass music, readily encompassing heavy bass, DnB, dubstep, electro, grime, and even heavy metal into their releases.

Today is the last day to submit your remix for PeaceTreaty’s “In Time.” The summer EDM anthem had your bodies moving and it’s now your turn to put your spin on the song. HARD Summers Top 5 Drops

HARD Summer came to downtown Los Angeles for the fifth year in a row last weekend, and brought with it two solid days of fist-pumping EDM excitement. And while HARD expanded it’s repertoire this year to include such acts as indie guitar heroes Bloc Party and electronic crossover stars Little Dragon, the emphasis for the 50,000 attendees was still big dance tunes. Love is in the air for two of my favorite cities in the world — San Francisco and San Diego.  In what can only be described as a ‘massive California electronic event’  occurring through Memorial Day Weekend (May 25th and May 26th at AT&T Park in San Francisco and May 27th at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in San Diego), the ambitious event has pulled together the yes that electronic music has to offer.

With more than a few of our favorite artists, playing the event, this is definitely a can’t miss proposition for those of you looking for something to take up that Memorial Day Weekend slot.

Steve Aoki x Travis Barker – Cudi The Kid (Live @ Beyond Wonderland + Official Music Video) (Video)

Steve Aoki + Travis Barker + Kid Cudi = All Kinds of Madness or in this case, Cudi the Kid. Continuing the visual initiative behind his debut studio album ‘Wonderland’ and in support of the Cudi the Kid single dropping out into music outlets everywhere, we were privy to the a special live performance during his Beyond Wonderland set.  After catching the live performance, be sure to check the official music video.  Words don’t justify the imagery laid out, but the words surreal and creepy clowns come to mind.
