Serving as something of a palate cleanser after the rock band fantasy trip he took on Just a Souvenir, Tom Jenkinson's latest EP gets back to the basics. Of course his basics still pair frenetic hardcore breaks and restless jazz bass in ways that continually defy preconceptions. 'Zounds Perspex' and 'Paradise Garage' flaunt bright synths and set the brisk pace followed throughout, but it's the elegantly skittering 'Heliacal Torch' and the wonderfully merciless 'Arterial Fantasy' that make this EP go.
