Alongside 72 Soul’s musical collaborations with producers, LuiGi (of duo MonkeyRobot) and Akello Light, the EP stands as a cross-media creative work. Through the use of a successful indie-gogo campaign, 72 Soul teamed with director Eric Boni to create a short film to accompany an extremely limited vinyl pressing.

URB Favorite (& NEXT contender) and MTV Buzzworthy artist, Jarell Perry, has managed to succeed where so many artists have tried and failed — produce a cover that is just as good as the original. Inspired by indie-electronica wunderkin, Semi Precious Weapons, Perry’s cover of Aviation High takes the track to new heights (no pun intended).
While maintaining the original’s idea and intent, Hassan’s deft production refinement of the track’s ‘Big Room’ sound is pushed ever further by Jarell’s signature soulful modulations. It is just the right ‘twist’ provided by the duo that from what we at URB hear, got the folks behind Semi Precious Weapons to call the track ‘gorgeous.’
