Kobe Bryant Hyperdunk from Nike & Aston Martin (Video)

When Kobe jumps over a MOVING Aston Martin with his new kicks, a million other kids want to get airborne. While no one recommends the same maneuver, this a sneaker sure looks like it will propel you through the air and dunk like nobody’s business–heck, it looks like it could carry you through outer space. Aston Martin and Nike got together and produced this luscious special edition Nike Hyperdunk “Kobe Bryant” sneaker. 500 pairs will be available this spring and, unlike other Hyperdunks, this one is made with top-of-the-line leathers and bears the Aston Martin logo on the tongue. The NBA Sets an Example & Donates Sneakers in an Effort to Curtail Waste Disposal

LA/NY based sneaker company FLIGHT CLUB and Environmental lifestyle marketing company GREEN JAR have teamed up to COLLECT worn sneakers from some of the NBA’s most environmentally conscious teams in an effort to recycle product that would otherwise be disposed of as material waste. All sneakers are currently being donated to Soles 4 Souls Haiti shoe project.

Though it’s not their first collaboration, this final batch of product will be available for Fall/Winter 2010. Even without his name on the kicks, they resound with the designer’s delicate balance of dark mysteriousness and forward thinking (see maroon pair). Long live McQueen! …MORE

Supra Skytop “Heartbreaker” Preview

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner (as in this weekend, my dudes!) Supra Footwear blesses us with a preview of the “Heartbreaker” Skytop. This pair features an all red canvas upper,  white vulcanized  sole, and a heart hang tag split in two pieces. There’s no word yet on an official drop date, but with St. Valentine’s Day coming faster than you know it, I’m going to go out on a limb and say these bad boys will drop sometime this week.
