INTERVIEW: Tech N9ne

Hip-hop's mad prince rocks a platinum crown

It’s been almost exactly 10 years since Tech N9ne made his groundbreaking appearance on Sway and King Tech’s “The Anthem”, immediately preceeding Eminem with a verse that put the rapidly rising superstar to shame. Unfortunately, he never gained the notoriety that Em did, however he has amassed a cult following of loyal fans and branded himself as the brutally honest wildin’ out rock star of the hip hop underground. He recently reached a milestone in his career by independently moving one million units without the aid of national TV and radio exposure, but Tech isn’t satisfed. Here's the message from their friends (Vice & Biz 3 Publicity) here in the States:

The members of Iraqi metal band Acrassicauda have been living as war refugees in Syria. On Oct 10th, 2007, their visas will start to expire. The Syrian government has made threatening overtures about sending Iraqi refugees back to Iraq. We don't need to stress just how dangerous this would be for them. It could very likely be a death sentence, and the time in which we can help them is quickly running out.

We are asking for donations to assist Acrassicauda in leaving Syria for a safer haven. The band has no bank accounts, and Paypal doesn't function in Syria, so we've setup a Paypal account on their behalf. No donation is too small. By giving as little as ten dollars, you …
