Sleigh Bells :: “Comeback Kid” (MP3)

When people look back to discuss the difference between Sleigh Bell’s first and second records, the closest comparison might be the raw grunge of Nirvana’s debut album Bleach and the Andy Wallace-mastered epic guitars or Nevermind. The core of Sleigh Bell’s sound is still there, massive guitar riffs and R&B-tinged pop vocals, but sound of the former has been EQ’d away from the ear-shredding crunch of their first record to a more sophisticated overdrive on their new single, “Comeback Kid.”

The Øya Festival is a festival put together by music lovers, for music lovers, and with a focus on presenting a cutting-edge bill with a big, Scandinavian heart.
