Yelawolf, Slaughterhouse Celebrate Shady Records in New York Show

In New York with nothing to do today? Shady Records is throwing themselves a party at the BRISK Bodega pop-up shop, featuring the label’s memorabilia and a special show with Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse later tonight. “The exhibit is a one-day-only experience celebrating Shady’s history and evolution to Shady 2.0,” the label said in a release. “Featuring exclusive artwork by Tristan Eaton and ARTEKNYC, the Brisk Bodega will give you up close and personal access to some extremely rare and never-before-seen gems from the Shady Records museum of memorabilia, including the puppet and set from Eminem’s Brisk “Claymation 2.0″ Super Bowl commercial earlier this year.”

From now until 5 pm, the pop-up shop, located at 159 Bleecker St., will feature memorabilia from 8 Mile, plaques from classic albums …

@koshadillz hits west coast @rockthebells w/ @rza, @grindtimenow, NY RTB tomorrow (Video & MP3)

Kosha Dillz gives a recap on how to grind at west coast rock the bells, rocking 3 stages in one day in LA and also hitting the grind time now stage in san francisco with Mad Illz. Highlights include being introduced by the Rza as the “first jewish rapper in the guiness book of world records to play all three stages” and hitting the main stage before Blackstar!

Rock the Bells continues tomorrow at Governor’s island in NY and then heads to Boston on September 10th to finish the 20,000 plus attendee hip hop manifesto that features Nas, Mobb Deep, SlaughterHouse, Childish Gambino, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Mac Miller, Gza, Raekwon, Cypress Hill and tons of other acts. Tech N9ne Talks Paid Dues 2010 + 2009 Performances (Video)

 

Tecca Nina speaks to HHO about his experience at the 2009 Paid Dues festival, as well as what he’s looking forward to about this year’s event. I have to say, the energy during his performance last year was absolutely insane. You will never find an artist more dedicated to their fans than Tech N9ne. I remember leaving right after Atmosphere’s closing performance and peeping the fact that Tech’s booth was the only one still open. There was a huge line of people waiting to get autographs. He stayed and signed them all. That’s love.

As a bonus, after the jump I’ve got a few videos that I took of the 2009 Paid Dues performances (including Tech’s).

Raekwon Ready for Slaughterhouse + Wu-Tang Collabo (Video)

In a video for SOHH, Raekwon says he is past the Joe Budden drama and he is open to a collaboration between their respective super-groups.
