Let The Children Techno

Released by Ed Banger Records

“Admit it, deep inside you’ve always thought of BUSY P as Santa Claus to Ed Banger’s North Pole. And you knew DJ MEHDI was kind of the African cousin to the Whipping Father. Well, guess what? This winter they gathered their favourite newcomers, added a couple of old-timers, mixed them together and cooked the best holiday electronic dish. A brand new compilation of all fresh and unreleased music, down and up-tempo, love and dub-step, warm and cold-beats, and more international than Jesus. Just like the season.” - Pedro Winter [http://busyp.coolcats.fr/2011/01/let-the-children-techno-4/] Compilation ...

Boys Noize ‘Super Acid Medley’

Just like disco and disco-house seem to have dominated much of ‘o9 and ’10, the next wave of retro sounds, acid house, seems like it’s going to get big again in 2011. Blame it on Boys Noize, the German superstar who been championing the beloved sound of the Roland TB-303 for more than a minute. Next year, he’ll be releasing a compilation of acid-inspired tracks, titled easily enough, Super Acid. Fave producers like Feadz, Erol Alkan and Siriusmo contributed track to the compilation, recreating the vintage sound using everything from original gear, to laptop emulators and even iPhone 303 application. Here’s a quick medley to preview the compilation that will have everyone jacking in 2011 like it’s 1988.
