Jarell Perry releases First Time in anticipation of Full Length Debut, Simple Things (MP3)

While the countdown continues for Jarell Perry’s full length debut, Simple Things, to be released on March 18th, he is offering up another taste of his album.  The track, First Time, features Seattle based up-and-comer, Nacho Picasso, Duck Down Alum, Torae, and Bay-Area battle rapper Locksmith, musing on the trappings of ‘young love.’

Between the 808 playing with the almost ‘ethereal’ atmosphere laid out, the contrast between Jarell’s croonings and the verses dropped in by the accompanying rappers give the track more depth through subsequent listens.  If the mission was to help round out Perry’s musical profile and personality to give you a better glimpse of what you may expect on the forthcoming album, then mission accomplished.
