VICE & Intel Present ‘The Creators Project’ in San Francisco

Two-day multimedia event taking place at Fort Mason, March 17-18 

The Creators Project will be kicking off their 2012 programming with a 2-day event in San Francisco, their first-ever stand-alone event in the US outside of New York City. The Project is a global initiative headed by both Intel and VICE, intended to support creativity, and supports artists in realizing their creative visions through technology. The interactive and visual event showcases the interaction between art and technology to thousands of visitors and features bands, films, workshops and original multimedia works by The Studio (the Creators Project’s content-creation studio), as well as a number of installations.

After hosting Creators Project festivals in Beijing, Sao Paulo, New York, Paris, Lyon and Seoul, the event will take over the Bay Area at the historic Fort Mason on March 17th and 18th.  …

Alan Braxe Accused Of Peeing Onstage In SF

French house DJ and frequent Daft Punk collaborator Alan Braxe was kicked out of San Francisco’s DNA Lounge after allegedly peeing onstage. Braxe, who is best known for the 1998 smash “The Music Sounds Better With You,” which he co-wrote with Thomas Bangalter as Stardust, is accused of relieving himself on in the middle of his set.

With over a decade of DJing under his belt and releases under Subway, Tube10 and Brownswood Recordings, DJG has provided the soundtrack to a constantly-evolving sound, keeping his deep and distinguished series of tunes keep peeking through some of the biggest lineups of the year. Playing with the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Addison Groove, N-Type and Tectonic head-honcho Pinch, DJG has solidified himself in the pantheon of next-generation producers and DJs in the Stateside community of bassheads. Ducky releases 15 week mixtape, Boys Club EP, and Paris music video (Video & MP3)

In the coming weeks, the New York-based producer Ducky, AKA Morgan Neiman, will be releasing her upcoming EP Boys Club via the Ducky Bandcamp page. Ducky will unleash one track every week for 15 weeks, eventually culminating in the release of Boys Club as a fierce and cohesive mix on January 21st. She already has 2 tracks up there, so forgive us for being late. We’ll try to remind you weekly from now on.
