June 26th 2010. SA-RA rocks the midnight hour at zanzibar in Santa Monica, Ca. Damefifty5 came out with only a drummer. A few songs lead to “Buzz Lightyear”. A female fan hands him a daisy as he claims “I was onstage at electric daisy festival yesterday, this is beautiful.” The DJ Skitz comes out at the drop of a hat and plays some mood music between sets. Nola Darling comes out in their monogram “ND” jackets, warning “the mighty SA-RA is coming.” Om’mas takes the stage in a shimmering cape followed by Shafiq Husyan in camolague army jacket with his signature beret and black stunner shades “The L’s coming.” …MORE
Here’s the 3rd official music video from Shafiq Husayn’s recently released album, Shafiq En’ A-Free-Ka. This time around, Shafiq and director Joslyn Rose Lyons focus on the song The U.N. Plan, creating universal visuals to accompany one of the first songs from the album.
The music video for Shafiq Husayn’s Cheeba featuring Bilal dropped today. The single is off of the critically acclaimed album Shafiq En’ A-Free-Ka released via Plug Research. Directed by Kahlil Joseph, the video features a rare video appearance and performance from Bilal, who is also scheduled to release his long awaited full length album via Plug Research in the upcoming months.
