I do generally feel as if I’m celebrating JA related music milestones alone. And while Pork Pie Records is distanced from the originators by a few years – and an ocean – the fact that they’ve kept at it when every one else has seemingly bailed is worth noting. So, here’s to 20 more.

Boredoms brand of noisome warbling isn’t to everyone’s taste, which could leave one wondering how the Japanese group is able to endlessly wrangle new collaborators. Regardless of that, though, Super Roots 10 is slated for release, via Chicago’s Thrill Jockey, on Sep 29th. But even if you weren’t alerted to that fact, you might just hear it playing a few miles away and figure it out.
