Tonight’s special edition of The Bunker is a collaborative effort between Red Bull Music Academy and Bryan Kasenic aka Spinoza; a unified effort in showing off some of the newest and greatest talents in underground electronic music today. The lineup is nothing short of amazing; with Modern Love’s Andy Stott still feeding us with welcome vibes from his stunner of an album, Luxury Problems, all the way to the legend that is AtomTM. RBMA participants Objekt (our current URB podcast contributor) and 100% Silk maven Octo Octa will support as well in an event that’s sure to be remembered in NYC underground lore. Advanced tickets are SOLD OUT, but there will be tickets at the door, and early arrivals would be the wise move here. Check out Objekt and Andy Stott’s Boiler Room sets down below after the jump. Happy hunting.
Red Bull Music Academy has launched a weekly mini-documentary series entitled, H∆SHTAG$. The first episode in the series, entitled ‘Don’t Call It #Alt-R&B’, features interviews with Miguel, How To Dress Well (formerly one half of The Weeknd), Jeremy ‘Zodiac’ Rose, Rochelle Jordan, and BadBadNotGood.
The series looks at the ‘current renaissance of contemporary R&B’ in light of the current ‘always-on’ age and asks the questions — ‘what happens when the Internet comes of age’ and what happens to the generation of musicians and artists that have grown up with it. H∆SHTAG$ engages the viewer into a conversation that takes its topics from URL to IRL and all points around and in between.
