Definite Mass is preparing to release his album “Evolution” and today enjoy one of the album cuts entitled “It’s A Problem” featuring some of CA’s finest, Ras Kass and Planet Asia and produced by Scientist.
For LA heads, Definite Mass will also be performing live at his “Evolution” Album Release Party on June 24th at Zanibar in Santa Monica, CA.
Evidence is that dude. Many heads point to 2007's Weatherman as one of hip-hop's recent treasures. That first solo project, with production from Sid Roams, The Alchemist, Jake One, Babu & Ev (all of whom are back on this one, save Jake One), had a refreshingly crisp sonic blueprint, heavy on the spacy synths and brimming with soul. Dame’s crew is at it again with a flick to hype up Ski Beatz’s 24 Hour Karate School. The song featured in the video by Mos Def and Ski is available here. Anything that includes a Golden Girls – as well as an Eric B and Rakim – sample is boss. And since it’s Ras Kass related, you know that “Thank You” is (actually) golden. If there were any lingering doubts, though, RK makes reference to folks that he thinks needs mention – LA’s deejay Battle Cat being one of them.
