8.4.2010 EL-P : Low End Theory (Live Review) (Video)

Quite the celebration/release show for “weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3″. I’ve seen EL-P do a live show a handful of times before, but never a straight beat set. At Cage and Yak Ballz’s El-Rey show last year he was on hand to watch the emcee’s like everyone else, this time was something completely different.

Low End Theory has been a staple of the Los Angeles night life for years. House Shoes “Newports” Mp3 & OJ Simpson Release @ the Shelter (Video & MP3)

After seeing the Eagles at the Hollywood Bowl recently, and Redman & Method Man headline “Spring Gathering” Saturday, “Newports” was a welcome change of pace from the week before. No introduction is necessary for House Shoes, with the Suite for Ma Dukes DVD now available in stores and online, the Do-Over collab vinyl, King James EP and Proof Memorial Concert at highlands has been keeping a break neck pace and still killing it with that signature Motor City vibe. From the plethora of J Dilla exclusive material I’ve heard him spin or the shelved MCA Dilla LP tracks, his production chops are nothing new.

The fourth in the All City Records LA 10 Series alongside fellow D citizen turned cali transplant Jordan Rockswell, the new shipment is that raw uncut pure. Next Tuesday at Verdugo Bar is Gaslamp Killer/Samiyam/RasG/Dibia$e/Tokimonsta/Coleman/BYZE1/NOMSG/ABCNT/Dj Jedi/ …
