James Blake could easily ride the whole post-dubstep troubadour thing for another 18 months before it wears thin, but the multi-faceted producer has decided to give his voice a rest on this new track, “Curbside,” from his upcoming What Happened Here EP. The tune is a wonky beat number, which departs from Blake’s usually cloudy production. It also features a fairly prominent sample taken from Madlib‘s (as Quasimoto) “Return of the Loop Digga,” which was itself sampled from Tyrone Washington’s “Submission.”
