Robin Hannibal (of Quadron) – Amends (Video)

Robin Hannibal of Quadron, Boom Clap Bachelors, and Owusu and Hannibal fame, recently released his “Bobby” EP, which is his first solo outing as a producer/vocalist/musician. Fans of his group work will definitely enjoy his solo “Bobby EP” as he and Coco prepare for the release of an upcoming Quadron album later in 2012 via Plug Research.

Enjoy the official music video for the song “Amends” from his “Bobby” EP. The video was directed and edited by Melinda James and features a storyline by Robin Hannibal himself, who also plays the main actor in the music video.

Quadron – Wounds (Unreleased Simili Life Version) (MP3)

Jay Z’s site Life + Times recently caught up with Quadron for an interview which discusses the meaning behind their name, Quadron, the Danish soul-music scene (or the lack of), their song writing process, and more. Both Robin Hannibal and Coco have an interesting take on their music and what the future holds for the both of them.

In addition to the great interview, Life + Times premiered a brand new Quadron track entitled “Wounds,” which is an alternate take on their song “Simili Life” from their debut self-titled album released via Los Angeles based, Plug Research.

Stay tuned for a new Quadron album coming in 2012. Meanwhile, you can check out Robin Hannibal’s “Bobby” EP. “Bobby” is his solo effort, but fans of Quadron and Robin’s other group efforts …

Denmark’s own Boom Clap Bachelors are back with a brand new music video for the song “Skynd Dig Langsomt” from their recently released EP “Mellem Dine Læber” via Plug Research.

First gaining recognition through Gilles Peterson’s BBC1 WorldWide radio show with their 2008 track “Combiner,” the Danish collective Boom Clap Bachelors have quickly made a name for themselves through their soulful sounds infused with subtle synth and pop influences. Both Robin Hannibal and Coco O. of Quadron are a part of the Boom Clap Bachelors collective, in addition to Ronni Vindahl, Thomas Bisballe, and David Cytryn and together have further solidified Denmark’s stamp in the “Soul” genre.
