Q-Tip Discusses New Album In Daily Webisodes (Video)

In an effort to build hype around his upcoming album Kamaal the Abstract, Jive/Battery Records will be releasing daily webisodes of Q-Tip discussing each of the tracks on the release, which is set for a Sept. 15th drop. The webisodes will be uploaded to Q-Tip’s MySpace.

Behind the Music’ Returns with Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and T.I.

An official press release from VH1 announces the triumphant return of the network’s beloved “Behind the Music” series, with episodes featuring the stories of Lil Wayne, Pink, T.I., 50 Cent, Bret Michaels, and Bobby Brown. The show kicks off Sep 10th at 10 PM by chronicling Lil Wayne’s story; following his rise to stardom, battles with drugs, and introduction to Cash Money, complete with commentary from the mothers of his growing number of children.

The rest of the scheduled episodes will air as follows, all at 10 PM:

Pink: Sept. 17thBobby Brown: Sept. 24th

Jay-Z Reminder From Blueprint 3 (MP3)

Here’s a fresh cut from Jay-Z’s upcoming album, The Blueprint 3, produced by Timbaland.

Plus, Jay will perform at MSG on Sept. 11 for the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund, which is a charity created in 1985 to support the families of police officers and firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. The Blueprint 3 comes out the same day as the charity concert and Fuse will broadcast the show. No ticket info available yet. [Nah Right]

Tiga and Fanciulli Mixes (MP3 Download)

This double-whammy comes care of Mixmag, and they hooked us up with two slammin’ mixes. First, Tiga’s has Zombie Nation’s “Worth It pt. 1.,” ZZT’s “The Worm” (Original Munich version), and Tiga’s own “Shoes” (Mr. Oizo remix). On Fanciulli’s mix, you get The Mole’s “Acadian,” “Sebo K’s “Sax” (Reboots twisted First rework) and Joris Voorn’s “We’re All Clean Test,” among others.
