Post SXSW: Band to Watch – Soft Swells (Video)

After their album launched earlier this February, Soft Swells, has maintained their space on my post review deck — similar to what happened with M83 and Foster The People the year prior.

The indie pop duo has done well, in the eclectic musical space that occupies my everyday office routine, as a result of the deceiving complexity of the soundscapes that they have created through their self-titled album.  After looking past the drum schemes, indie pop arrangements, and electronic influences that can help …

The Good Natured On Tour! (Video & MP3)

Britain’s pop-noir trio The Good Natured is playing select dates in January in anticipation of their upcoming release slated for Spring 2012.  The band recently premiered “Video Voyeur,” the first cut from their forthcoming debut album. “Video Voyeur”, produced by Swedish studio ace Patrik Berger (known for his work with Robyn), is an indicator of what is to come from these talented young Brits, who are reminiscent of The Human League. Cassia Coming Out With New Single (Video & MP3)

Cassia is a teenage pop princess who is the daughter of reggae royalty. Sometimes what you love to death is the cause of all your pain and misery.”

Cassia is currently in the studio mixing her second single entitled, “Just Like Pollution.”

Are you sure?” He nods, annoyed. Enter the heavy bass and vocal sirens of Röyksopp to refresh a beer and make it taste like, well, a 14 dollar beer. Norwegian duo and electronic music veterans Röyksopp prove once again that they’re still relevant and should be excused for their uncharacteristic work with pop artist (and fellow Scandinavian) Robyn. The duo, composed of the unassuming yet brilliant Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, performed in front of the appreciative crowd at the historic Wiltern in Los Angeles last Tuesday March 29th. Admittedly, not very well versed in the vast catalog of music Röyksopp has produced since their inception …
