This mix comes from our friends over at Red Bull Music Academy Radio. Pilooski is the french remixer best known for his edit of Franki Valli’s “Beggin’” which landed in an Adidas commercial a few years back. Here, the member of Dirty Soundsystem lays down an energizing set of nu-disco, Balerica and acid house. He even manages to make Green Velvet’s horribly over-played “Shake and Pop” sound fresh again.
LCD Soundsystem will release a remix collection of 45:33 this summer, and the tracks will be on 12″ singles. In Sep, all the singles will be gathered for an expanded version.
The remixes are:
Runaway Remix
Prince Language Remix
Prins Thomas Diskomiks Remix
Theo Parrish’s Space Cadet Remix
Trus’ Me Remix
Padded Cell Remix
Pilooski Remix
Riley Reinhold Remix
Back in 2007, James Murphy teamed up with Nike and iTunes for the project, and Murphy is working on the follow-up to Sound of Silver.
