HEALTH Cover Pictureplane Covering Fleetwood Mac (MP3)

Los Angeles foursome HEALTH have gained notoriety for being remixed by the right folks as much as their own unique mix of noise and dreampop. Now the group has gotten into the reimagining game themselves, covering Pictureplane’s “Goth Star.” The catch? Both versions of the tune make ample use of Fleetwood Mac’s “Seven Wonders,” making it a cover of a sample, perhaps? Either way, it’s pretty rad?

HEALTH “Death+ (Clipd Beaks Remix)” x New Remix Album (MP3)

HEALTH’s first remix album, Disco, made quite a splash and now the LA-based band is going to recapture that remix magic on the aptly titled Disco 2. Folks like Javelin, Crystal Castles, Salem, Pictureplane and CFCF make their claim on cuts from 2009′s Get Color. While this Clipd Beaks remix is not on the forthcoming remix collection, it was just released and makes for a tasty appetizer.

HEALTH ‘Die Slow’ (Video)

The guys of HEALTH filmed the video for “Die Slow” off the new disc, Get Color, and the video merges the vibe of their live performances with a cult-like progression of dancers and human sacrifice. It’s a little gory, but with a title like “Die Slow,” did you think there wouldn’t be any blood? The quickened shot changes echoes the hypnotic pull of this song. AWESOME. Not ones to take what they do too seriously, the whole thing is a tv adverstisement, telling viewers that basically, they don’t need to be music afficionados or pretenious hipsters to partake, and all they have to do is call:1-999-GET COLOR.
