Paul McCartney Wants To Party With MGMT

What do you do when Sir Paul comes a calling? It seems like a no-brainer that psych-pop duo MGMT would want to work with the former Beatle, who reportedly name-checked the band in a recent interview (we can’t find it anywhere on zoegriffin.co.uk— WTF NME?)

So the whole thing might be malarkey. But what would you do if this guy wanted to party?

Winehouse Out For Coachella

Amy Winehouse has cancelled her performance at Coachella due to visa issues stemming from her latest alleged assualt on a fan(MTV/People). But don’t feel too bad for Winehouse. Afterall, Paul McCartney was once kicked out of Japan for weed.

Rock Band Fab Four Edition

Apple Corps Ltd., Harmonix and MTV Games unveiled today their plans for a Beatles edition of the video game craze Rock Band, marking the first time the Beatles’ tracks will be available in the digital realm. Available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii, “The Beatles: Rock Band” will showcase the Liverpool foursome’s classic tracks. The game can be played with all of the previous peripheral intsruments, however a limited edition premium bundle including replicas of McCartney’s bass, Lennon and Harrison’s guitars, and Starr’s drum kit will be avilable for $249.99. A rather optimistic Paul McCartney shared his thoughts on the game, saying “it will feature different periods of the band — you get early days, Liverpool, then psychedelic, and on from there.
