Outside Lands: Day One Prelude

Northern California’s SF Outside Lands, grew up tonight, into the premier (and first of its kind) Music, Food, and Wine festival.  Operating on a three day schedule for the first time since its inception, the festival opened to a raucous crowd that steadily grew in its fervor and love for all things culturally, sonically, and gastronomically edible.

WIth an expanded food vendor list, that could for all intents and purposes be called the all-star team of San Francisco’s recognized culinary scene, as well, as the slice of SF artisan wear provided guests from both the local and international swath a picture of why the festival deserves its merit as a ‘only one of its kind’ destination event.

The crowd in itself, as a terrific example of the cross section of Americana and cool that San Francisco has come …

OUTSIDE LANDS 2011 – LINE UP ANNOUNCED!!! (Video)

On the opposite end, a society, chock full of the energy and the lifeblood that drove the festival through its initial day, convened to be guided by the voices of the …

URB HD presents Langhorne Slim @ The SF Outside Lands (Chase Freedom Lounge) (Video & MP3)

Through the cacophony of musical sights and sounds at the SF Outside Lands, the URB HD folks were able to catch up with the Americana troubadour group du jour, Langhorne Slim at the Chase Freedom Lounge. Admittedly (and embarrassingly so), this was our first time catching the group live and it was nothing short of amazing. Imagine being able to catch Dylan or Springsteen in their respective youth and you wouldn’t come close to the musicianship and energy that the impassioned group exuded through its performance. The hardworking band from differing parts of the United States showed a special kind of cohesiveness that definitely …
