Modeselektor’s 50Weapons label continued to expand its roster in 2012 with the addition of 22-year-old producer Bambounou this August, with the release of his “Cobe” EP – a much larger-scale release, in every sense of the word, since his very well-received “Alpha” EP on Youngunz in mid-2011. On November 23rd the young Parisian will release his debut full-length on the same label. The album, called “Orbiting,” takes into account Bambounou’s wide range of influences under one encompassing theme: space. He says he began the process with quite a minimal approach, and eventually ended up with a variety of different tracks, all under an umbrella of 90s house and techno mixed with “some kind of bass music.” Follow the jump to hear a preview of one of the tracks, called “Any Other Service.”
