Gensu Dean has signed a multi-project deal with Mello Music Group!!

A new 7″ with Large Professor will be released in January 2012 and his debut album “Standard Life” is set for a February 2012 release.

Based out of Dallas, Texas, Gensu Dean is a producer who has been quietly laying down some heavy tracks. His first production credits were on Crooked Letterz, David Banner’s debut record “Grey Skies.” Since then Dean has had production featured on Brand Nubian’s Lord Jamar’s “The 5% Album” and Sadat X’s “Black October,” and Melatone’s “Memoirs & Melodies.” Gensu Dean has been called upon by labels to remix projects from CL Smooth to Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Now you can be part of the Wu-Tang Clan! Or at least be that fly on the wall when the Clan is around. Ever wanted to know what went down behind the scenes when RZA was booted out of the 8 Diagrams tour? Well, now is your chance. The Official Wu-Tang Saga is being heralded as the official look at the behind the scenes doings of possibly one of the greatest hip hop groups in history. I’m always a sucker for “behind the scenes” type of documentaries and looks to be rather complete with all nine member (if you include Cappadonna) showing up. Lot’s of extras included as well. Sounds like a definite must for all the big-time Wu-heads out there….

New Dirty Bastard! (MP3)

Next week, Message To The Other Side- Osirus Part 1, will mark the return of ODB via 21 tracks produced by Wu-stalwarts and affiliates.  The project (presumably the first of a few) also comes with a 20-minute DVD.

For now, here’s a somewhat ironic first track that just leaked:  “Say No”, where ODB is telling kids to stay away from drugs. Wu IS kid friendly!

The Black Keys x Hip-Hop Project

The Black Keys have planned to release an album under the name Blak Roc. And what, pray tell, will be on this disc? Only the biggest names in hip-hop, like Mos Def, Q-Tip, RZA, Raekwon, Paroahe Monch, Jim Jones, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. NME is reporting that other unnamed artists will be on the album, as well. Sounds intiguing. It lands Nov 27th.
