Rel spent a few days with Homeboy Sandman in NY, meeting his father Angel Del Villar, a Golden Gloves winning boxer that fought in Madison Square Garden, who then provided inspiration for Homeboy Sandman to follow his dreams. Sandman also discusses teaching high school in Queens, going to law school, and smoking weed as a way to cope and harbor his creativity, then pushing himself to become sober while maintaining his level of writing.
