It’s been easily a decade since Freshjive did something to truly get collective panties in a bunch. But this new “Hope Is Fading Fast” shirt is sure to have some folks up in arms. The real question is, would you wear it?
Pre-releasing on Black Friday is the t shirt design, “Hope is Fading Fast”. This is actually the first item releasing without the Freshjive brand name on it. Read the recent post on the World’s Got Problems blog regarding how the Obama administration is maintaining continuity with its disgraced predecessor.
…And KanyeGate keeps rolling along. This is far from a good look for Kanye Tidduh. Then again you could argue he hasn’t had a good look since Graduation. Anyway you gotta love the conviction behind President Obama’s voice as he joked on Kanye. It’s good to know that politicians can have a sense of humor too.
Here’s the audio clip of Obama’s remark towards Kanye’s actions at the 2009 VMAs. I feel like a hypocrite for posting this as I’d rather see some music news unrelated to Snatch Seen Round The World. Yes he was wrong and I guess I was wrong for laughing. But hey I was entertained by the whole thing. Anyway, Obama’s commentary on the matter is worth a chuckle as well.
Obama has consistantly proven himself a man good with words. But he really nailed it on the head with his off-the-record comment calling Kanye West a “jackass” in regards to his interupting Taylor Swifts acceptance speech on MTV’s Video Music Awards.
Obama made the comment during an interview is CNBC, and was leaked to the world via a tweet from ABC Reporter Terry Moran who wrote:
“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.”
Moran already removed the Twitter post and issued an apologie for breaching the president’s off-the-record confidentiality.
Jay-Z sits one-on-one with Harry Allen, Stephen A. Smith, and Angie Martinez at Sequoia’s in Manhattan. A very good interview session; they talk about the paranoia leftover from the days of dealing, losing the iPod with new album, Obama, basketball… very open-ended conversations. Blueprint 3 was originally set for release today before getting pushed out earlier, so I had to get my Hov fix otherwise.
