Creep is two ladies named Lauren (Flax and Dillard) who hale from Brooklyn and have been getting lots of attention for their fusion of dark gothic tones and whipsmart beats. Nina Sky are sisters Nicole and Natalie Albino, who have been kicking around the New York scene for a couple of years, adding nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-school R&B flava to everything they touch. The four got together on this slow jam that just begs to get played along side Aliyah and Kate Bush at a party where everyone (girls and boys) are wearing oversized t-shirts, black leggings and Doc Martins.
We love it when artists go on the DL for a little while, then one day you wake up and they’ve dropped something hot in your lap like they were just waiting for the right moment while you were forgetting they exist. That exactly what 2007 URB cover starlet Melisa “Kid Sister” Young, just did with this new 13-song mixtape, Kiss Kiss Kiss, featuring guests Nina Sky and Gucci Mane, remixers Laidback Luke and Caspa, and DJ Nick Catchdubs. Guess she wasn’t hiding after all, she was in the lab assembling this mix that we hesitate to call a comeback—but it is nice to see her again.

Apparently one sorta creepy video for “Keep It Goin’ Louder” was insufficient promotion for Major Lazer: here’s a new video that features those hump dancers from “Pon De Floor,” and some women with thumbs for heads. I don’t know what I’ve just watched, but I know it’ll be burned on my corneas when I die.
