Nina Kraviz Returns To NYC Courtesy of Blkmarket & ReSolute (Video & MP3)

To say we here at URB aren’t excited about Nina Kraviz returning to NYC would be a bold-faced lie. The scintillating Russian DJ femme will be bringing her brand of bumping kicks and snares to the metropolitan area courtesy of our favorite people at Blkmarket and ReSolute, as the last that URB went to from the both of them was with Cassy, and it was AMAZING. So, to expect this to be amazing wouldn’t be a stretch. After all, “Ghetto Kraviz” is still stuck in our ears, and it’s been about a year since we first heard it. First Wave Of Decibel Festival 2012 Acts Announced

Seattle’s sonic journey returns once again this coming September; as the first 60 acts of Decibel Festival 2012 are officially announced. This year’s focus is not just on the underground producers of today’s electronic world, but a slight focus bestowed upon pop and alternative acts, such as Canadian pop sensation Dragonette, the hauntingly epic Ariel Pink, or Kimbra, whose feature on a certain #1 tune has been rotating radio, YouTube and every coffee shop around the States. Along with that are notable acts such as: Actress (Honest Jon’s), Andy Stott (Modern Love), Carl Craig (Planet E), Kuedo (Planet Mu), Nina Kraviz (Rekids), Terrence Parker and many more. WATCH Nina Kraviz :: “Ghetto Kraviz” (Video)

Russian DJ-producer-vocalist Nina Kraviz is proving herself to be more than just the best cheekbones in house music. She’s hooked up with some serious heavy-weight imprints in the underground scene, including Jus-Ed‘s Quality Recordings and Radioslave‘s Rekids label, and has been rocking a whole bunch of clubs and podcasts across Europe. Her debut self-titled album drops tomorrow and she’s just issued the first video for the tune “Ghetto Kraviz.” Shot in and around Berlin’s Arena club, the clip features some dance moves from a couple of Berlin nightlife regulars, along with lots of pouting looks long legs. Oh yeah, and the tune itself offers a subdued and hypnotic groove that lands somewhere between The Neptunes and Panorama Bar at 2AM on a Sunday night/Monday morning.
