Nike first released their Rock ‘N’ Roll pack in the Summer of 2008, and I remember shaking my little fist at the skies, cursing the sneaker gods as I realized that a shoe that contained studs, gold, and overall awesomeness was not available in my size. Lucky me, Nike’s dropped the Vandal Rock ‘ N’ Roll High GS for those of us of the smaller persuasion. Yes it’s scaled down and redesigned, but it still does the trick.

When Kobe jumps over a MOVING Aston Martin with his new kicks, a million other kids want to get airborne. While no one recommends the same maneuver, this a sneaker sure looks like it will propel you through the air and dunk like nobody’s business–heck, it looks like it could carry you through outer space. Aston Martin and Nike got together and produced this luscious special edition Nike Hyperdunk “Kobe Bryant” sneaker. 500 pairs will be available this spring and, unlike other Hyperdunks, this one is made with top-of-the-line leathers and bears the Aston Martin logo on the tongue. No, AM didn’t come back from beyond, but he was honored at the release of Nike’s DJ Premier Air Force 1/DJ AM Dunk pack. The set comes with both pairs of shoes, repping East Coast and West Coast DJs, and comes with custom labeled Serato Records. Kellen was there and caught the celebration on video, speaking with Primo, DJ Clark Kent and Ed Lover.

I love and hate this at the same time. LUPE what are you doing?! Send us your new record… instead, we get this Nike Basketball commercial, which features KRS-One as Santa. How come when I was a kid we didn’t have a n y t h i n g like this? I mean, we had The Muppets, but they were a lame a– crew; this is in a league all its own. I think it’s cute; however, I hope this does not spark a trend. Is this the future of rap battles for 2010? I just don’t think music should be “cute.” Hey, Santa, ya hear me? No cutesy rappers like 50 advertising Care Bears in ‘10, okay?
