Com Truise – Cathode Girls (MP3)

[download]

Com Truise is New Jersey designer/musician Seth Haley. His songs tap classic sci-fi and proto-electro in a way that is distinctly early eighties in scope, but they’re also remarkably psychedelic and ominous as if they were surrounded by dark matter. After his well-received Cyanide Sisters EP, the recently released Fairlight single, a grip of remixes for artists like Twin Shadow, Neon Indian, Daft Punk, and a few floating MP3s, Truise’s first LP, Galactic Melt, will finally enter our chambers in July. He will be debuting his live show on his first national tour this summer w/ Phantogram and Glitch Mob as well.

GALACTIC MELT TRACKLIST:
01. Terminal
02. VHS Sex
03. Cathode Girls
04. Air Cal

Mind CTRL: Psychic Chasms Possessed

Released by Fader

Texas-based production quartet Neon Indian offers an uber savory brand of electro synth and beyond on their latest  release Mind CTRL: Phsychic Casms Possessed. Fronted by noted singer/producer Alan Palomo, the band's incorporation of new-wave and soft rock samples over tasteful electronica compositions can be heard on the tracks "Terminally Chill (Yacht Remix)" and "Laughing Gas". Other noteworthy tracks include the trippy "Deadbeat Summer (Toro y Moi Remix) and the sultry dance-floor piece "Ephemeral Artery". Their  sonic versatility however, is best displayed on the Biblio remix of the track "Mind Drips"--a ...

Chillwave’s New Top Gun: Com Truise (MP3)

The music world has be left scratching (and nodding) its collective head since the remarkable and unexpected debut of Princeton, New Jersey “Chillwave” producer Com Truise (aka Seth Haley) — who seems to have hit the music industry like an 80′s scud. One of the most blogged about artists is recent months, his self described “slow motion 32-bit synth” sound has caught the attention of numerous record labels and artists alike — spawning several remix projects. But Com Truise isn’t jumping around on couches with excitement quite yet. As the hype continues to build around this suddenly mythical producer, I sat down with the still unsigned virtuoso to talk about his new “Cyanide Sisters” EP (available FREE at: comtruise.com), his goals, and where he fits in today’s electronic music scene. …MORE
